Flight Companies from the UK/Ireland to Turkey

Turkey Airlines Almost daily flights from London, Dublin and Manchester. All TA flights land at Ataturk Airport in Istanbul the you catch a connecting flight to your chosen airport ie. Izmir, Bodrum, Dalaman. There can be as little as a one hour time slot before your connecting flight leaves.

Cyprus Turkish Airlines Fly almost daily from both Stansted and Heathrow airports direct to Izmir 12 months of the year.

British Airways Fly direct to Izmir from London Gatwick 4 times a week 12 months ...

This Ottoman Palace is now what I would probably call the most luxurious hotel in Istanbul. I've saw a few Royal/Socialite weddings from there being featured on the news; looks fantastic.

My hubby and I celebrate 20 years together this June so whilst looking at the website I decided to see how much it would cost for us to stay there for 2 nights. Well........

We were at this beautiful restaurant last Saturday but unfortunately on business, not pleasure, so we didn't have time to sample the food, which we heard is top notch.

The inside is beautifully decorated and of course the bare stone walls, they have large gardens and also a good size swimming pool.

We definitely plan to dine here as I hear their meze's are out of this world.

I hmmmm'd and haaaaa'd about what section this thread should go in; pamper room? hamam? But decided on here as it really doesn't belong in any particular one.

Around the world, people have different expectations of what they class beauty. In some countries, men and women insert a wooden "plate" into their bottom lip and they're considered gorgeous. In a different country, women wear metal rings around their neck, elongating it. Looks weird to me but they consider it beautiful.

Maj kindly brought over a bag of goodies, cadburys chocolate and real crisps... oh the joys... the crisps were just amazing compared to Turkeys big thick crisps in a very limited few flavours...

oh and luxury to read an up to date magazine... Jordan seems to have got herself into a bit of a mess!!
